Paw painted art and
critter collectibles

Each of these paintings was created by our Greyhounds, our foster dogs, or a cat or dog from Animal Friends shelter---www.animal-friends.org--- in Pittsburgh PA. The water based acrylics that we use wash off the paws easily with warm, soapy water. The creative process is interesting, to say the least, and we never know just how the paintings will turn out. We mat and frame them to 5x7 or 8x10, and the hook for hanging is included. So you will know a little more about each "artist", on the back of each painting is a label with the dog's information---racing name, sex, age, color, adopted name (if known), the date the painting was done, and some personal information. The paw paintings are also done on T-shirts, sweatshirts, and note cards (in the Other Collectibles section). If you see one you like, just get in touch with us on our Contact Us page. We can also do "special order" paintings---you pick the colors (we have every paint color under the sun), size, and the dog you would like to create it. One of our own dogs will paint something just for you! Queen Winnie is semi-retired, though, since her right hind leg was amputated in July 2004, after she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. She actually was never that thrilled with painting in the first place! So now her artistic endeavors are very limited, mostly for fundraisers to help out other Greyhound rescue groups, or individual dogs in need. We hope you enjoy looking at the paintings. Some people think they are great, and some people think we are nuts! I guess we are a little of both. But if you are looking for a very special gift, for yourself or someone else, we doubt you will ever find anything quite like this! Each painting is one-of-a-kind, as unique and endearing as the wonderful dog who created it.
