These collars and dog necklaces are so much fun to make. I have a huge variety of beads--every size, shape and color you can imagine. I think you'll find something unique and surprising in each collar. You can match them to your dog's color, Martingale, or personality. And I love seeing how beautiful they look on a Greyhound's long, graceful neck (and they are just for show). The 2 and 3 row collars have tab closure clasps in gold or silver. The 1 row necklaces have barrel closure clasps. All of these clasps are easy to get on and off, and once they're closed, they stay closed. The lengths range from about 15 inches for a petite female to about 19 inches, which should fit a good sized male. You can choose a length by where you want the collar to sit on your dogs neck--larger to sit below the Martingale, or smaller to sit above the Martingale. I think they look best with Martingales under 2 inches wide. And I can always make a special one in any length or color you'd like.
About the Circle of Grey jeweled collar---this collar is worn by our Queen Winnifred Grace. In June 2004, when she was 8 years old, our proud and beautiful Winnie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer), and that July, we made the very difficult decision to amputate her right hind leg. We decided not to do chemo. It was a huge adjustment, but Winnie, with her typical grace and courage, has adjusted beautifully to life as a tripod. She's doing great right now, with diet change and many supplements. The people of the Circle of Grey website, which supports Greyhound owners dealing with serious illnesses, were invaluable to me during this stessful and emotional time. I made the collar in their colors---purple, gold and white---to honor Winnie and all the other dogs who have fought this terrible disease.
