Welcome to Catsburg And Houndtown, where we live with our Greyhounds, Nick, Winnie, Polly and Lydia, and our cats, Rosie, Jolie, Zuni and Lily. Around 1998, we became a foster home for Going Home Greyhounds, a rescue group in Wexford (just North of Pittsburgh), and that's when we fell in love with these beautiful dogs. So many Greyhounds face an uncertain future when they can no longer race. Working with dedicated rescue groups across the country, foster parents take these ex-racing Greyhounds into their homes and hearts till they can be adopted. As GHG volunteers, we've had many foster dogs, and 7 foster failures---when a special dog has stayed because we failed to be able to let them go! Our dogs started doing the paw paintings as a fundraiser (which was a big success), and we still like to help out many Greyhound rescue groups and individual dogs in need. We soon realized that with our foster dogs, we had many potential artists, and our small "Mom and Pop and Dog" business grew! Now our own dogs, and all our foster dogs paint (and sometimes the cats do too)!

THE PAINTINGS Do Greyhounds really paint? Yes, each painting is created by the paws of a Greyhound (and an occasional cat)! Using water based acrylics, we assist them as they create their own, very individual, works of art---framed pictures, clothing, and note cards. We include an info label about each "artist".
JEWELRY AND JEWELED COLLARS I love beads! And I have a million of them! Semi-precious stones, beautiful glass, sterling beads and charms, and pewter charms go into my necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. And the dogs get jewelry too---1, 2, or 3 row collars, with gorgeous beads of an infinite variety.
OTHER COLLECTIBLES We make lots of other neat stuff. Check out our painted boxes with Greyhounds on top, and polymer clay magnets and Christmas ornaments. We also have magnets and lighters featuring our own photogenic Greys.
